A Ganeshotsav Celebrating Inclusion at Deepstambh Manobal, Delhi
Deepstambh Foundation – Manobal, Delhi, celebrated a meaningful three-day Ganeshotsav centred on inclusion, values, creativity and student participation.
The celebrations began with the installation of an eco-friendly clay idol of Lord Ganesha, inaugurated by Ms. Isha Gupta, UPSC CSE 2025 – AIR 956, a person with a benchmark disability, whose journey reflects determination and resilience. Mr. Bapusaheb Gaikwad, UPSC CSE 2025 – AIR 561, also graced the occasion and inspired students through his achievement and presence.
The celebration beautifully represented Manobal’s five core values—Empathy, Gratitude, Integrity, Excellence and Courage—through a creative umbrella-themed installation symbolising these values as a guiding shelter for the community.
Students enthusiastically participated in Musical Chairs and Lemon-and-Spoon competitions, creating an atmosphere of joy, camaraderie and togetherness.
The three-day celebration concluded with memorable moments of devotion, participation and happiness, reflecting Manobal’s commitment to inclusion, dignity and empowerment.
Empowering Talent Through Ganeshotsav
On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Deepstambh Foundation Manobal set up Art & Craft stalls at the Old Maharashtra Sadan’s Ganpati Festival in Delhi and in Gurugram. The stalls featured a range of beautiful handmade products created by Divyang students, showcasing their creativity, skills and dedication. Devotees and visitors who came for Ganpati Darshan enthusiastically visited the stalls, appreciated the students’ work and purchased their handmade creations. The initiative provided the students with a platform to showcase their talent while promoting confidence, self-reliance and economic empowerment. The overwhelming response from visitors made the celebration even more meaningful.

Beyond Boundaries: Building Confidence Through Mobility & Empathy
Deepstambh Foundation–Manobal, New Delhi Centre organised a three-day Mobility & Empathy Awareness Workshop from 5th to 7th September 2026 for visually impaired students preparing for competitive examinations, along with social workers and sighted staff.
The workshop was guided by Mr. Swagat Thorat, whose work focuses on social inclusion, cultural exploration and empathy-based learning, with Ms. Swaroopa Deshpande as Workshop Coordinator and Assistant Trainer.
Through practical activities and experiential learning, participants explored mobility, accessibility, confidence and independence. Visually impaired students gained greater confidence in navigating different spaces, while sighted participants developed a deeper understanding of the everyday experiences and challenges faced by persons with visual impairment.
The workshop went beyond conventional training by creating opportunities to experience, reflect and understand. It reinforced an important message: true inclusion begins when accessibility is supported by awareness, empathy and mutual understanding.
