Youth from Orphan Backgrounds

Deepstambh Manobal supports youth from orphan backgrounds from all three categories defined by the Government of Maharashtra—Category A (complete orphans), Category B (institutional orphans without documentation), and Category C (orphans with family or relatives). We go beyond institutional care by taking parental and residential responsibility, ensuring stability, belonging, and long-term support for their education and life journey.

The Challenge

  • Millions of children in India grow up without parental support.
  • Most lose institutional care after turning 18.
  • They face gaps in education, emotional support, and stability.
  • Many lack identity, guidance, and long-term direction.

How We Respond

  • Every student is seen first as a human being.
  • Scholarships and financial support help students continue their education.
  • Parental care and full residential responsibility are provided.
  • Support includes education, food, healthcare and emotional well-being.
  • Higher education guidance and career training are provided.
  • Training in English communication and soft skills is included in the program.
  • Mentorship, counselling, and life guidance support students through their journey.
  • Support is also extended for their marriage.
  • Students continue to remain connected as part of the Manobal family.

Inclusive & Accessible Education

  • State of the art accessible and inclusive residential campus
  • Inclusive and accessible hostel and mess facility
  • All learning systems are designed to be accessible for residential and online students
  • Study material, teaching methods, and assessments are adapted to individual needs.
  • Students are prepared for higher education, mainstream careers, and competitive exams such as UPSC, State Services, Banking, Police, and Railways.

Parental Care & Family Support

Through the Manobal Parenting Scheme, students from orphan backgrounds are connected with individuals and families who provide long-term emotional support, guidance, and encouragement. Beyond education and residential facilities, the initiative helps students experience a sense of belonging, warmth, and human connection as they build independent lives.
In many cases:
• Students are given identity and documentation support
• They receive personal attention similar to a family environment
This is a defining feature of  Manobal Program.

Education & Career Development

Students receive full support for:
• School and higher education
• Competitive exam preparation
• Career guidance and skill development

They are prepared for government and private sector careers.

Holistic Development & Counselling

We provide four types of professional counselling:
• Psychological counselling
• Career counselling
• Personality development
• Academic/study support

Soft skills training is adapted to different disabilities. This includes communication, confidence building, interview preparation, and workplace readiness.

Career guidance and placement support

We provide end-to-end career support.
Students are prepared for both government and private sector jobs.

Support continues after placement:
• Post-job mentoring
• Follow-up systems
• Workplace adaptation guidance

We stay connected until the student becomes fully independent.

Financial Support & Scholarships

We provide support for:
• Education fees
• Hostel and living expenses
• Study materials and resources

This ensures that financial constraints do not stop education.

Beyond Education

Our relationship does not end with employment. We support students in building stable lives, including social integration and marriage support where needed. Students remain connected to Deepstambh as part of an extended family.
